Vera Amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Vera')
Of all flowering bulbs, amaryllis are the easiest to bring to bloom. Amaryllis can be grown outdoors in frost free areas. They also can be grown in colder regions. Amaryllis are great for cut flowers and they also can be grown indoors. In cold regions, pull up the bulbs before winter, and store them until spring. Demand may be high, so order yours while it's still available! The planting period extends from October to April and the flowering period lasts for 6 to 7 weeks. This can be accomplished indoors or out, and over an extended period of time. The Amaryllis 'Vera', 'Hippeastrum', produces large pink blush blooms. This plant is resistant to deer.
